
If it hits any pikmin, it will raise them to the hole in its head and "eat" them thus killing the pikmin. It's main attack will cause the two "appendages" on its head to form into two sharp skewers which it will then aim at the ground and stab the pikmin and captains with. Take out as much health as possible when you first encounter it because this battle will likely take more than 1 day to complete unless you're very efficient and a little lucky. Lastly, remember that you dont have to beat it in one day. You can also use the landing site as a safe-haven for the pikmin and captains as the Plasm Wraith cannot leave the battle field. If you lose a lot of pikmin, you can easily send one of the captains to call out some pikmin real quick while in the middle of the battle as it is literally only 5 seconds away from the battle feild. The globs will disappear keeping the wraith from reabsorbing them and restoring its health.ĭuring the story mode, the fight will be held in a clearing right next to the Landing Site of the Formidable Oak. To cause any permanent damage to the wraith, you will have to attack these globs while they are on the ground by using the pikmin. When the pikmin attack it, it will drop globs of its body on the ground. When you make it out of the cave, the main part of the boss battle with the Plasm Wraith will begin and he will absorb Olimar.ĭuring this fight, the wraith will mainly target and attempt to attack Alph, Brittany, and Charlie while picking up some pikmin along the way. Within the dark portion of the cave, the wraith can climb up the ledges without the aid of a slope so keep your eye on the gamepad. The wraith can also turn around so do not let your guard up. If you think you have a large lead on the wraith, it may go over a wall and catch up very quickly.

WARNING: The Plasm Wraith can go over large walls within the cave. You still cannot touch the wraith though. When in the dark area that contains water, you can put Brittany in a pool of water with Winged or Blue Pikmin holdingOlimar to keep the wraith at bay because it cannot enter water. Use this to your advantage by ignoring Bulborbs and Swooping Snitchbugs. If any enemy is touched by the Plasm Wraith they will instantly die. Use the nector to give your pikmin flowers if needed. The enemies will dessentigrate when killed but butterflies will release yellow nector if you hit them out of the air. Use 10 Winged Pikmin with flowers to carry Olimar as they can fly over obstacles and are not hindered by random objects on the ground. Bring 20 of each type of pikmin to help with the various enemies and puzzles. Tips for avoiding the Plasm Wraith's First Form and solving puzzles within the Formidable Oak: Target the larger cube with Rock Pikmin and try to hit the smaller cube within. The cube will be enveloped by a larger, crystal cube and begin tumbling around. The cube will be enveloped in a giant sphere of water. The cube will stay low to the ground and a pool of the wraith's body below it will turn red and catch on fire. The cube will begin to rise with a small pool of the wraith's body creating a spike between the cube and the ground and it will release an electric field around it. There are 4 possible attacks and to stop the attack you will have to attack the cube in the center of it: To retrieve Olimar, attack the wraith with any pikmin to lower its health to zero and cause the wraith to "pop." If you see a cube appear, pay attention to what happens around it because this is an attack. If Olimar gets absorbed, the Plasm Wraith will turn a solid gold and any pikmin inside it will be killed.


If the Plasm Wraith absorbs any pikmin, you can get them out of its body by whistling to them. If it starts to approach Brittany, you will see a text bubble from Brittany so switch to her as quickly as possible and command her to go to another location. Brittany will have to lead the Plasm Wraith away from your main group of pikmin so once you've opened a few paths that loop in circles, you can use the "Go Here" command using the gamepad to keep the Plasm Wraith Occupied. Since Brittany is the first to be the leader, allow Alph and Charlie to break obsticals and kill the enemies. It is slow but you cannot get around it within the narrow tunnels. During this form, the Plasm Wraith is invulnerable and will lock onto and follow the character that is leading the pikmin and Olimar.
